The History of the Original Pharoahs est.1948 truly fits the title "History Mystery." There is a shadow that sometimes seems a little bit like animosity and in the midst of what makes up a Car Club the word Rival would come to mind.

Hotrods, Comradery, Customizing, Racing, Competition, even Motorcycle Clubs, were words that I frequently pondered as I discovered the history of the Original Pharoahs.

They became so well known in-part by the popularity of the1973 film American Graffiti. The film picked up on a particular component of the Modesto Car Culture but it deluded the significance of who the Original Pharoahs were.

Their History is a foundation to our Car Culture. They were Not just Car Guys and They were certainly Not punks who vandalized the town.

The following interview of the film's highlighted Faros with the "F" tells how it began as a rejected Fraternity and tells how they simulated our name after being rejected by the Original Pharoahs.

The Original Pharoahs were true WWII heros and later included our Korean War heros. Some flew bombers and were known as the Kings of the Sky, others dominated the Land, and Sea but they were indeed all American heros and superior by their own right.

The real Pharoahs formed the Car Club and built their machines with the desired effect of speed. Instead of using the title Kings of the Sky they used Pharoahs which means Kings. That is where the Pharoahs became exalted to and where they remain today; The Kings of the Car Guys.
